MARENER Engineered Systems was contracted to supply twenty-five (25) engineered fender systems in conjunction with the construction of Berth 3 at the Deltaport Container Terminal in Delta, BC. The addition of Berth 3 increased Deltaport’s capacity by up to 600,000 TEU’s. The custom built engineered fender systems incorporated dual cone fenders and a low friction UMHW-PE facing attached to structural steel panels which ensure the safe berthing of Super Post-Panamax container vessels. The fender systems were delivered within schedule and budget.
