MARENER Industrial Services was contracted to overhaul the Ball Mill in Lafarge’s Brookfield, NS facility. The scope of work included the removal of deteriorated steel on the internals of the drum; fabricating and installing various steel components and inserts; and the service and repair of various mechanical equipment. This was a schedule driven project involving a multi-disciplined workforce to facilitate an ambitious re-commissioning date. The project was completed on schedule and on budget without any lost time accidents or safety incidents.
